Protecting our open spaces
We are committed to:
- safeguarding Capstone Valley from development
- resisting unrealistic government housing targets
- promoting brown field sites for future large-scale development
- protecting Rochester airport
- resisting plans for a lower Thames crossing into the Hoo Peninsula
Saving our environment
We will continue to:
- increase recycling rates
- combat graffiti
- improve street cleaning
- stamp out fly-tipping
Improving our transport
We are committed to:
- continuing the half price bus fare for school children
- maintaining the popular yellow bus scheme for Medway's children
- improving roads and pavements
Making our communities safer
We continue to press for effective policing by:
- stepping up enforcement against anti-social behaviour
- working with the police to improve neighbourhood policing
- strengthening our Community Safety Police Team
