Age Concern centre gets a boost thanks to Conservative councillors

Age Concern Visitors to the new Age Concern centre in Princes Park will benefit from improved facilities thanks to local Conservative councillors.

Cllrs Matt Bright and Pat Gulvin have given £2000 from their ward improvement funds to help provide new equipment for the centre in Hopewell Drive, which will open in March.

The money will go towards new tables and chairs, dementia signs and toilet facilities.

Cllr Gulvin said:

"we were approached by the Chief Officer for Age Concern Cathy Steinmann who asked if we could help and we are pleased to make our contribution to the new facilities."

Cllr Bright commented:

"it is good to give something back to the community that will really help the lives of some elderly residents of Princes Park and Medway."
